FLYING COLORS
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to read this post. I reworked it and cut a few words to qualify for Chad Rohrbaker's contest, posted above (April 26th to be exact. Read it in its now polished version and follow Chad's link to vote for it.

Quite creative and compelling.
I once saw a family friend's "black" aura and that person later cheated someone out of money.
Not that I could ever do that again!
This one had my heart pounding. Too bad those two didn't get together. They would have made a good pair. Ah, well.

This was great!! Good pacing and very engaging story. I also like how you worked in the explanation of what the different aura colors mean without bogging down the pace of the story. This could even be expanded into something more I think.
I support all superhero fiction. Very fun, Peggy. I wish my secret power was finding Cinnabons...

Another fantastic idea, which you carried through with great pace and description. You are certainly hitting a groove.
One minor thought: The clinking of Cinnebon cuts. Hers would have been plastic and his paper. Maybe "toughed cups in salute" or something.
Very cool story. I enjoyed it a bunch.
Although we discussed this last night, I want to tell you again how I enjoyed the story, the characters and how I drooled at the idea of a Cinnebon.
